Data Tags

Gear Tag

Every piece of equipment in the gym gets its own Gear Tag. Gear Tags are used to report issues with specific pieces of equipment.

Set Up Your First Tag

Pick a machine

Choose a piece of equipment you want to monitor. Start with something that breaks often or gets complaints. Treadmills and cable machines are popular first picks.

Choose your Base Tag

Choose the orientation and color that fits the surface. Horizontal works well on wide panels; vertical on narrow frames.

Find the right spot

Place the tag where members will see it, but where it won't interfere with use.

Apply the Base Tag

Peel and stick. Press firmly for 30 seconds. The adhesive strengthens over 24 hours. For best results on different surfaces, see the Gear Tag Help page.

Apply a Data Tag

Take any Data Tag from your kit. Peel it and place it in the designated area on the Base Tag. Press firmly.

Ready to activate

Your first Gear Tag is now installed. Follow the steps below to get your account set up and activate your tag.

Business name, email, password. About 2 minutes.

Activate your first tag

This activates the Gear Tag you just installed, linking it to your equipment.

Your equipment is live

Members can scan and report issues immediately.

Set up more tags when you're ready

Same process, about a minute per tag. Scan any Data Tag to begin the activation process.
