From broken equipment to resolved issue - in four steps.
I love my local gym, but I was about to cancel because the equipment was constantly broken. Instead, I built something to fix the problem for my gym and for any gym at risk of losing members over this pesky problem.

Gym Managers, Sound Familiar?
You find out about issues days later, usually when a member complains to your face or posts a review.
Reports get lost in group texts, sticky notes, and shift changes. Nobody's sure who's handling what.
A frayed cable or wobbly bench is a lawsuit waiting to happen. And members who feel unsafe don't renew. They just leave.

Common Questions
No. They scan the QR code with their phone's camera and report directly in the browser. No app, no account, no friction.
One to three days depending on how many pieces of equipment you have. You'll need to touch every machine to apply the Gear Tag stickers, but equipment setup takes only a minute and is done on a mobile device. We've built setup shortcuts to help onboarding go fast, including cloning equipment (like rows of treadmills or bikes) and an AI-powered photo detection option to pre-fill equipment metadata (manufacturer and model) to help things go faster.
Yes. We sell starter kits with enough Gear Tags to cover your gym. You pick the kit size that matches your equipment count, and we ship them ready to apply. Tags are specifically designed to be durable, UV-resistant, compatible with cleaning solutions, and built for daily gym wear. Replacement tags are available anytime.
Each Gear Tag is made up of a combination of a Base Tag and a Data Tag - two different stickers. The Base Tag comes in various designs (light or dark, horizontal or vertical) to match different equipment aesthetics, and can be customized with your gym logo or color scheme.
Two big reasons.
First, having a unique QR code on every piece of equipment creates an opportunity for two-way communication between gym members and management. Letting members see status updates - or get notified when an issue is resolved - builds a cycle of feedback and trust that matters for community building and member retention.
Second, each Gear Tag provides equipment-level tracking, so every report is tied to a specific machine, timestamped, and tracked through resolution. Over time, the data becomes valuable for preventive maintenance and business planning.
Yes. When any member scans a Gear Tag, they see the current status of the equipment, any issues already reported, and any status updates posted. Members can see progress as it's being made.
